COLOMBIA WILL HAVE AN ARMY. On June 1st the military academy was re-inaugurated by the president. This institution will be responsible for developing an official body and will be lead by Chilean Captains Arturo Ahumada and Diego Guillen Santana, who are ideal for the job because of their training in a Prussian Academy. President Rafael Reyes personally selected them. This new academy will be on the west side of the San Agustin Plaza in Bogota. He wants to reform the military so that it will not be dominated by the political parties. and dedicated to the safety and defense of the country. The sun is the Earth's primary energy source. It’s rays enter our atmosphere and shower upon on our planet. About one third of this solar energy is reflected back by bright surfaces. Two thirds, however, are absorbed by the Earth, thus warming land, oceans, and atmosphere. Some of it is stored in the atmosphere. This process is called the greenhouse effect. Without it, the Earth's average temperature would be a chilling -18 degrees Celsius, even with the sun's constant energy supply. In a world like this, life on Earth would probably have never emerged from the sea. Thanks to the greenhouse effect, however, heat emitted from the Earth is trapped in the atmosphere, providing us

with a comfortable average temperature of 14 degrees. So, how does it work? Sun rays enter the glass roof and walls of a greenhouse. But once they heat up the ground, which, in turn, heats up the air inside the greenhouse, the glass panels trap that warm air and temperatures increase. We have no glass walls; the only thing that comes close to acting as such is our atmosphere. But in here, processes are way more complicated than in a real greenhouse. Like a radiator in space only about half of all solar energy that reaches the Earth is infrared radiation and causes immediate warming when passing through the atmosphere. The

other half is of a higher frequency, and only translates into heat once it hits Earth and is later reflected back into space as waves of infrared radiation. The switch from carbon dioxide to oxygen nitrogen, oxygen, and argon make up 98 percent of the Earth's atmosphere. But they do not absorb significant amounts of infrared radiation, and thus do not contribute to the greenhouse effect. It is the more exotic components like water vapor, carbon dioxide, ozone, methane, nitrous oxide, and chlorofluorocarbons that absorb heat and thus increase atmospheric temperatures. means “the time spirit”) or belong to a movement named after this philosophy. In our country, for example, we have had related conferences in April at Tadeo University. But the thing is that we do not know how many years, disasters and sacrifices… how much corruption, greed, self-interest, discrimination, contamination starvation, blood, death, poverty, danger… what else do human beings need to understand that our societies deserve an opportunity… PEACE… But another question comes: if the main human goal (money) disappeared, what would be our purpose or reasons to live ?

Less than a year after he left the Nation of Islam, Malcolm X was assassinated while giving a

To his admirers, he was a courageous advocate for the rights of African Americans, a man who indicted white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black Americans. His detractors accused him of preaching racism, black supremacy, anti-Semitism, and violence. He has been described as one of the greatest and most influential African Americans in history. He died, February 21^st 1965.
