strong. We cannot allow the bus companies to control us. Let us take action now and avoid a future crisis! Finally let's think about where this is headed. Who will control the public transportation system? Is it going to affect from one stage to another? How is it going to be established? Will they have enough funds for everything that needs to be done? We still don’t know, but one thing is for sure, we are never prepared for transportation strikes.

Be prepared, wear clothing that reflects your style and fits your body type, dress yourself so you'll be feeling comfortable and confident. Make eye contact, this is one of the simplest and best ways to determine whether or not you should initially approach someone. If you catch them constantly looking at you, that's a good sign that you can talk to them. Control your body language. Stand up straight and keep your head up are two basic elements. Look approachable. Don't cross your arms in front of you, and keep your hands from covering your face. Don't keep your hands in your pockets all the time, and never put them all the way in. Be very aware of how too much hand fidgeting can make you look nervous, for example. Just remember that you want to

Metallica -The Unforgiven
New blood joins this earth
And quickly he’s subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on he’s known
A vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they’ll take away
What I’ve felt. What I’ve known
Never shined through in what I’ve shown
Never be. Never see
Won’t see what might have been
What I’ve felt. What I’ve known
Never shined through in what I’ve shown
Never free. Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
They dedicate their lives,
to ruining all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He’s battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares

Malcolm X was born in Omaha, Nebraska May 19th 1925. By the time he was thirteen, his father had died and his mother had been committed to a mental hospital. His childhood, including his father’s lessons concerning black pride and self-reliance and his own experiences concerning race, played a significant role in Malcolm X’s adult life. After living in a series of foster homes, Malcolm X became involved in hustling and other criminal activities in Boston and New York. In 1946, Malcolm X was sentenced to eight to ten years in

President Obama laid out the new vision for the U.S. space program. The firestorm of controversy has already begun. For more than 50 years, presidents have pushed for government rockets to send astronauts to space, the moon and possibly Mars. But now a new paradigm is being proposed. The moon program is off the table, and Mars is only a distant possibility. NASA is essentially getting out of the astronaut business, letting the Russians and private enterprise take over. The glory days of NASA, some say, are over. The Obama plan is truly unspectacular, ending an era that lasted from Presidents Kennedy to Bush. Facts: The moon program, called Constellation, is being suspended, and $9 billion of research is going down the drain. The Ares rocket, which recently underwent a successful preliminary test, will be canceled. The Orion lunar module will

One of the ships really existed. The other was made up by a writer of fiction. The first vessel was called the Titanic. It set out on its first trip from a starting point in South Hampton, England, in April 1912. Its destination was New York. The Titanic was the most immense boat ever built. In fact, the word ”titanic” means huge. The Titanic’s owners declared it was absolutely unsinkable. But they were wrong. One night, the ship hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean. It began to sink. The ship did not have sufficient lifeboats to save all the passengers. Because there were not enough lifeboats many people died. The second ship was described in a book by Morgan Robertson.

Last month the Colombian capital found itself with one of its biggest problems at hand. The issue was a massive bus strike, which involved everything, but Transmilenio (even the taxi sector joined in for some time). It makes me think… are we so hopeless without public transportation? I think that people were very smart in most cases, they created some alternatives to get to their destinations, improvised buses with trucks; anything was an option when we had to get to work, home, or anywhere that

Be yourself, Talk about something they are wearing or the place you are at. Most of the time that is enough and be original. Funny jokes are always good, but you can really be impressive if you show off your listening skills. Ask questions and bring up things they said earlier in the conversation. Mix personal questions about them with funny observations about something that's going on in the moment. Laughing makes people feel comfortable. Keep the conversation light and positive and don't forget to smile. If the person looks uninterested don't keep going, stop and slowly make your exit. It
instead be used as an astronaut "lifeboat" tethered to the international space station. The space Shuttle program is ending, causing 4,600 workers to lose their jobs. Without a space shuttle, the U.S. will rely temporarily on Russian rockets to send American astronauts into space. Eventually, private enterprise will take over launching our astronauts. Some critics say that this is all too much, too soon. Private companies may not be ready to pick up the slack for years to transport astronauts. Americans will simply have to swallow their pride and wait for new instances for the government to put the Space Program back in action. Will it be up to date when they do? But everyone agrees that the wheel is broken and needs to be fixed. It all boils down to one dirty four-letter word: cost. During the Cold War,

The quality of our life is determined by our health. You can have all the money in the world but if you go through your day feeling tired, fatigued or weak, you can't be living your life to the fullest. Here are some quick tips to increase your health and fitness: Don't diet because of it’s temporary nature, diets don't work. So your flirtatious encounter has been going well... Great! Now would be a great time to ask for a phone number or email address (which can seem less threatening). Once you have successfully done this and maybe even made arrangements to see each other again, make your exit. The longer you stick around, the more chances you'll have of blowing it. Practice makes perfect. The more people you flirt with, the better you'll get at knowing what you should be doing and what to look out for. Plus it's easy... You can practice flirting with people every day!
the superpowers gladly opened their treasuries because the space race was a matter of national pride and honor. Since then, the realities have sunk in. It costs about $10,000 per pound to send anything into near-Earth orbit. But when you add in life support and safety factors, it costs about $65 million to send each astronaut aboard the space shuttle, which in turn costs half a billion dollars per launch. To go to the moon would cost perhaps 10 times as much. As he speaks to aerospace workers, the president should frame this moment as an opportunity to redesign the space program. The key is to maintain the U.S. as the leader in innovation, ideas and progress, because science is ultimately the engine of prosperity.
THE VENUS PROJECT
By: Iris Ruiz
The sun is the Earth's primary energy source. It’s rays enter our atmosphere and shower upon on our planet. About one third of this solar energy is reflected back by bright surfaces. Two thirds, however, are absorbed by the Earth, thus warming land, oceans, and atmosphere. Some of it is stored in the atmosphere. This process is called the greenhouse effect. Without it, the Earth's average temperature would be a chilling -18 degrees Celsius, even with the sun's constant energy supply. In a world like this, life on Earth would probably have never emerged from the sea. Thanks to the greenhouse effect, however, heat emitted from the Earth is trapped in the atmosphere, providing us
with a comfortable average temperature of 14 degrees. So, how does it work? Sun rays enter the glass roof and walls of a greenhouse. But once they heat up the ground, which, in turn, heats up the air inside the greenhouse, the glass panels trap that warm air and temperatures increase. We have no glass walls; the only thing that comes close to acting as such is our atmosphere. But in here, processes are way more complicated than in a real greenhouse. Like a radiator in space only about half of all solar energy that reaches the Earth is infrared radiation and causes immediate warming when passing through the atmosphere. The
other half is of a higher frequency, and only translates into heat once it hits Earth and is later reflected back into space as waves of infrared radiation. The switch from carbon dioxide to oxygen nitrogen, oxygen, and argon make up 98 percent of the Earth's atmosphere. But they do not absorb significant amounts of infrared radiation, and thus do not contribute to the greenhouse effect. It is the more exotic components like water vapor, carbon dioxide, ozone, methane, nitrous oxide, and chlorofluorocarbons that absorb heat and thus increase atmospheric temperatures. So, does this affect us in a good or bad way?
IDIOMS
Money could be the reason why we wake up early every morning; the only one thing we need to live, to eat, to survive, to have a decent life. With money we can buy lots of things: the essential ones, luxury, health, education, consciences’, or even love. It can also be the reason why we compete, fight, hate, steal, kill and make wars… what would life be without it? “Imagine there are no countries… no possessions… all the people sharing the entire world” (Imagine, John Lennon) This is exactly what the Venus project is looking for nowadays. A very well known group of scientists is promoting a new model of self-efficient cities and

societies, able to overcome our main need: money. What if we declare this world as the whole human race's heritage, with no boundaries, where everybody owns everything to manage its natural sources in order to be used by all of us; a free life, without false objectives or beliefs. As Jacque Fresco, one of its creators says: “we have the intelligence; we have the technology, so why do we have to think in terms of conquering or living on other planets instead of fixing ours?” This project is very famous all around the world. Many people have seen documentaries like “Zeitgeist” (a German term that
means “the time spirit”) or belong to a movement named after this philosophy. In our country, for example, we have had related conferences in April at Tadeo University. But the thing is that we do not know how many years, disasters and sacrifices… how much corruption, greed, self-interest, discrimination, contamination starvation, blood, death, poverty, danger… what else do human beings need to understand that our societies deserve an opportunity… PEACE… But another question comes: if the main human goal (money) disappeared, what would be our purpose or reasons to live ?
