BEGINNER’S CORNER:
I had said that because there were many thugs and gang members around campus who sold drugs and people kept falling into addictions. I thank God! that even though I was a recreational drug user I never developed an addiction. I have set many goals to reach in life, I hope I accomplish them!
What is finance? Its the management of revenues; the conduct or transaction of money matters generally, especially those affecting the public, as in the fields of banking and investments. I worked for a financial institute in the US. And I noticed that a lot of people didn't t even start to think about their future, saving money was not on their agenda. The average American that saves is less than one percent. When should I start saving? As soon as you can. Ideally, you'd start saving in your twenties, that's when you first leave school and begin earning a paycheck. Because the sooner

THE COWARD OF THE COUNTY
Everyone considered him the coward of the county.
He'd never stood one single time to prove the county wrong.
His mamma named him Tommy, the folks just called him yellow,
But something always told me they were reading Tommy wrong.
He was only ten years old when his daddy died in prison.
I looked after Tommy 'cause he was my brother's son.
I still recall the final words my brother said to Tommy:
"son, my life is over, but yours is just begun.
Promise me, son, not to do the things I've done.
Walk away from trouble if you can.
It won't mean you're weak if you turn the other cheek.
I hope you're old enough to understand:
Son, you don't have to fight to be a man."
There's someone for everyone and Tommy's love was Becky.
In her arms he didn't have to prove he was a man.
One day while he was working the Gatlin boys came calling'.
They took turns at Becky.... there was three of them!
Tommy opened up the door and saw his Becky crying'.
The torn dress, the shattered look was more than he could stand.
He reached above the fireplace and took down his daddy's picture.
As his tears fell on his daddy's face, he heard these words again:
"Promise me, son, not to do the things I've done.
Walk away from trouble if you can.

HOW OUR MEMORY WORKS
When you learn a new fact, like someone's name, there are physical changes in the structure of your brain. But we don't yet comprehend exactly what those changes are, how they are orchestrated across vast seas of synapses and neurons, how they embody knowledge, or how they are read out decades later for retrieval.
One complication is that there are many kinds of memories. The brain seems to distinguish short-term memory (remembering a phone number just long enough to dial it) from long-term memory (what you did on your last birthday). Within long-term memory, declarative memories like names and facts are distinct from non-declarative memories riding a bicycle, being affected by a subliminal message, and within these general categories are numerous subtypes. Different brain structures seem to support different kinds of learning and memory; brain damage can lead to the loss of one type without disturbing the others.
Experience can, for example, fortify the connections between the smell of coffee, its taste, its color, and the feel of its warmth. Since the populations of neurons connected with each of these sensations are typically activated at the same time, the connections between them can cause all the sensory associations of coffee to be triggered by the smell alone.
But looking only at associations-and strengthened connections between neurons-may not be enough to explain memory. The great secret of memory is that it mostly encodes the relationships between things more than the details of the things themselves. When you memorize a melody, you encode the relationships between the notes, not the notes, which is why you can easily sing the song in a different key.
We all for example develop a different system to study English, or to memorize new vocabulary, or how the images come to our mind when we associate a word from the classwork with something of our daily life, lets challenge our memory trying to memorize ten new words every day.

CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
San Francisco, Destroyed. A huge earthquake took place and nearly erased this Californian City. The quake left the tragic outcome of over a thousand dead, nearly two hundred and fifty thousand without a roof, and near total destruction of some twenty eight thousand buildings in downtown S. F . The few structures that were still standing, were consumed by the fires that burst out. To avoid looting of homes and businesses the government stated martial law in the entire bay area. XII IBEROAMERICAN THEATER FESTIVAL
The XII edition of this festival has a rare feature. Fanny Mickey, unfortunately, is no longer at the front of the largest theatrical party. She was the motivator and director for the eleven versions of the most important festival in terms of theatre in Latin America. Ana Maria de Pizarro is her successor; in this edition she opened a space for juvenile expressions as graffiti and the new circus. The honor guest for the XII (FITB) is Cataluña; it has a stunning exhibit of a mixture of theatre, circus, music and dance. This year Bogota will live it in 28 spaces among theatres, foundations, and parks for about 18 days: apart from plays, and an inaugural parade, Franz Ferdinand and Buika will be in concert. Do not fret if you cannot afford this event, the OFB created the “2 x 1 theatrical passport” which allows people to obtain a discount for the concerted rooms' plays. People can get this passport in SuperCades, Universities and Portal Norte. Do not miss the opportunity to get pleasure from the most enormous entertainment of all.

The Gatling boys just laughed at him when he walked into the barroom.
One of them got up and met him halfway 'cross the floor.

M. J. STILL MAKING MONEY
A person spoke on condition of anonymity because the official announcement is expected later in the month. After his passing, the King of Pop will continue to rake in the dough. The late singer landed the biggest recording deal in history: a $200 million guaranteed contract with Sony Music Entertainment for 10 projects over seven years. The record-breaking contract through 2017 could be worth up to $250 million if certain conditions are met. One of the albums will be of never-before-released Jackson recordings that will come out in November. Future projects may also include a DVD compilation of videos and some of his older works, accompanied by some unreleased material. Before his sudden death in June at age 50, the pop star had wanted to re-issue the album. One of the projects already counted in the contract was the two-disc album that accompanied "This Is It," the film based on footage

grand father was a straight forward person, I think I take up after him. I have always recognized my flaws before my virtues and I have demanded a lot of myself in every task I have set before me. After being in college for some time my dedication paid off, I was named class valedictorian, I had to give an encouraging speech to all the other teenagers graduating with me, my point was to stay focused and take control of your life and not to let others control it.

you begin saving, the more time your money has to grow. How much money will I need? Ah, the key question. One rule of thumb is that you'll need seventy percent of your pre-retirement yearly salary to live comfortably. That might be enough if you've paid off your mortgage and all your debt, and are in good health. How much should I save? As much as you can is the standard advice from a financial advisor. Many financial advisors recommend that you save ten to fifteen percent of your monthly income for retirement. What if I can’t save enough? Try to

Spring break is a week when school’s out, the entire teenage and young adult population heads out to their favorite tropical location. In places like Cancun, Miami, Padre Island, and others along the southern American shore. Common practices are: Long club parties back to back, bikini and wet t-shirt contests, beach competitions, and probably the biggest display of alcohol and illegal substances of the year concentrated during one week. Having said this, you may be able to imagine how big and uncontrollable this situation might be for authorities and locals. Although, there always is a huge undercover police presence. The situation always finds a way to get out of hand and vacationers end up doing almost as they please. A normal “spring break” day begins: waking up in a different place, hung-over, maybe with a different crowd, and searching for your friends. If you happen to wake up in your place, you will most likely, see people you don’t know

SAINT PATRICK’S DAY
Is a yearly holiday celebrated on March 17th, It is named after Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland. It began as a purely Catholic holiday and became an official feast day in the early 1600s. However, it has gradually become more of a secular celebration of Ireland's culture. It is a public holiday on the entire island of Ireland, including, Newfoundland and Labrador and in Montserrat. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish Diasporas. Little is known of Patrick's early life, though it is known that he was born in Roman Britain in the fifth century, into a wealthy family. His father and grandfather were deacons in the Church. At the age of sixteen, he was kidnaped by Irish raiders and taken captive to Ireland as a slave. It is believed he was held somewhere on the west coast of Ireland, possibly Mayo. According to his Confession, he was told by God in a dream to flee from captivity to the coast, where he would board a ship and return to Britain. Upon returning, he quickly joined the Church and studied to be a priest. In 432, he again says that he was called back to Ireland, though as a bishop, to Christianize the Irish from their native polytheism. Irish folklore tells that one of his teaching methods included using the shamrock to explain the Christian doctrine of the Trinity to the Irish people. After nearly thirty years of proselytizing, he died on 17 March 461, and according to tradition, was buried at Downpatrick. Although there were other more successful missions to Ireland from Rome, Patrick endured as the principal champion of Irish Christianity and is held in esteem in the Irish Church.
